Ernest Canales Yglesias, known to friends and family as "Wero," was born on December 5, 1950. He passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on September 25, 2026, at the age of 75.

A graduate of Harlandale High School, Ernest shared 53 years of marriage with his wife, Yolanda. He loved good food, barbecuing, joking around, and laughing with family. He enjoyed watching Cowboys football, Spurs basketball, wrestling, and action movies. He was also always working on a project around the house, whether he was painting, building, or fixing something.

Ernest loved spending time at the beach with his family, watching his grandson Mikey play and taking in the waves and cool breeze.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; his daughters Elena and her husband Jason, Stephanie and her husband Mike, April Yglesias, and Lisa Yglesias; his grandchildren; his brother Robert Arispe and sister Edna Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews.
