Mr. Ernest D. Herrera of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Monday, May, 25, 2020 at the age of 97. Mr. Herrera was a kind and compassionate man. He is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who always put his family's and community's needs above his own. Mr. Herrera is remembered by his tenacity, his generosity, his love of an ice-cold beer, Sea Island Fridays and most importantly, the love he had for his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Herrera; son Edward Herrera; brother Abraham Herrera; sisters Alice Herrera and Irene Wallendy. Mr. Herrera is survived by his children: Ernest D. Herrera and wife Linda, Gloria Cuellar and husband Rick, Richard Herrera and wife Marian; daughter-in-law, Cathy Herrera; grandchildren: Adrian Herrera and wife Elizabeth, Lauren Herrera, Christine Herrera, Beth Haugh and husband David, Carolyn Barrios and husband Paul; great-grandchild: Emerson Herrera.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Visitation will be Thursday, June 4 ^th, from 11:30am-1:30pm at The Angelus Funeral Home Chapel. Private graveside services will be the following day, Friday, June 5 ^th, at Resurrection Cemetery with military honors.
