On November 13, 2023, Ms. Emma C. Torralva, a native of San Antonio, entered eternal rest after a short illness at age 90.

Emma was born on September 23, 1933.  Emma was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and Incarnate Word University with a degree in Education. She worked as an educator in the San Antonio Independent School District where she retired after 33 years of dedicated service.  She was a beacon of light for her students, showing the way and encouraging their dreams through the lessons imparted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Concepcion Torralva, and three brothers: Oscar, Carlos Sr., and Raul.  She is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces who were a source of immense pride.

Visitation will begin Monday morning, Nov. 27, 2023, at 9:00 AM in St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Dr., San Antonio, Tx 78228.  It will be followed by a Rosary at 9:30 AM, and Mass at 10:00 AM.  Following Mass, a procession will follow to San Fernando Cemetery No. 2 for graveside services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice or St. Paul Catholic School, 302 John Adams Dr., San Antonio, TX, "In memory of Emma Torralva".

The Family sends many thanks to her dear friends and fellow teachers who provided loving support and companionship to her over the years and during her final days.  We especially thank her care givers:  MaLu, Eva, Laura, Consuelo, Christina and Anita.  May she rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.  She will be missed.
