It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elvira S. Martinez, a beloved matriarch and cornerstone of her family, who peacefully departed this life on October 19, 2024, just shy of her 97th birthday. She was surrounded by the love and support of her family during her final moments.
Born on October 21, 1927, Elvira was a beacon of strength, compassion, and wisdom for all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, her loving husband Fred M. Martinez, her son Fred S. Martinez, and her granddaughter Alexis Martinez.
Elvira is survived by her sister Angie Naranjo, her brother Jose (Beto) Saenz, her devoted daughter Rosemary Utterback, and her loving sons Bill Martinez, Anthony Martinez, and David Martinez. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her warmth and love.
Elvira's family was her pride and joy, and she remained the steadfast heart of their lives. Her presence will be deeply missed, not only by her family but by all who were blessed to meet her and experience her kindness. She brought people together with her gentle spirit, and her memory will continue to inspire and unite those she left behind.
The family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. Elvira will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all.
