Obituary

Elijah James Castillo, 16, was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 9, 2003 and passed away on February 17, 2020.

Proceeded in death, father Nicholas Castillo, uncle Daniel Castillo, and grandmother, Anna Marie Lomas.  He is survived by his mother, Carleen Lomas, father, Jacob Lomas, and three sisters: Nikalette, Savannah, and Khloe.  His grandparents, James and Sylvia Guzman, Jose Lomas, and Estela Castillo (Nana) and Robert P. Castillo Sr. Aunts Shanay Slocumb (Dewey Slocumb), Shantell Lumbreras (Rey Lumbreras), Bernie Lomas, Annie Auyon (Manuel Auyon), and Eliza Joy Castillo.  Uncles, Matthew Lomas (Peggy Lomas), Arron Castillo (Patricia Castillo), and Robert (Robbie) P. Castillo II, with numerous loving cousins.

Elijah attended Steven's High School and was in the Junior class of 2021. He is being remembered by his loved ones for his interest in an eclectic taste of music and fashion, producing beats and his infectious, positive energy he always displayed and spread to whomever he encountered.  Elijah is the purest definition of what an altruistic person exhibits.  He was selfless as he always put people first before himself and expected nothing in return.  His satisfaction was the joy he felt helping others. His words may not have been plenty but his actions certainly spoke louder to those that were blessed to be in his presence.  We hope Elijah, with his actions served you and you can continue to cultivate those memories and spread kindness to those around you…always.

His family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital and also to all of their family and friends for their continued support during this time.
