Elida L. Alva, age 96 entered into rest to be with the Lord on January 11, 2024. She was born on July 30,1927 in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Abraham V. Alva and beloved son, Luis L. Alva.

She is survived by her children, Ella (Pete) Flores, David L. Alva, Diana (Jesse) Frost and Richard (Hope) Alva; and blessed with 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Roxanne Rodriquez for her care. Our Mom was Amazing! Her Love for God was always first followed closely by her family. She loved her family gatherings. For her age her mind was clear and sharp. Her smile was contagious, and her jokes and laughter will forever stay with us. Her prayers over us, is the legacy we will forever treasured: To live for Jesus. Mom you will be missed but rest now and we'll see you soon.

Visitation will be begin at 6:00pm Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Angelus Funeral Home with Prayer Service following at 6:30pm that evening. Funeral on Thursday, January 25, at 12:30pm to gather together to say our final goodbye's to our loved one at Angelus Funeral Home. A procession will depart at 1:45pm with interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:30pm.

Services will be officiated by Rev. Pete Flores.
