Elia S. Medellin, 86, aka Miss 807 éStonewall is survived by her four children, Patricia Peralta married to Ruben Peralta, Edward Medellin Jr. Noy Rackley, Cynthia Tejeda, and Victor Medellin. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years Eduardo B. Medellin Sr.; mother, Domitila H. Fuentes; and sister, Yolanda Flores.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She had an open door to the neighborhood children, she worked at SAISD in the cafeteria during the school year and for the Public Pools of San Antonio in the summer as a bag attendant.

Elia and her husband Eduardo were known for throwing large BBQ's for family and friends. She was known to enjoy her Miller-Lite Tea.  Anyone she knew she had a special nickname for them.

She loved to be entertained by mariachis in a restaurant even if there was nothing to celebrate. She loved to do her shoulder shimmy whenever she heard her favorite songs.

If you doubt any of this to be true it's like she always said "Vale Mas Que Lo believe it, when you got it you got it"

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 9th at 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, January 10th at 9:15 A.M. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
