Elena M. Cardenas
Feb.8, 1930 - Aug.4, 2020
Elena's faith and Heavens light has guided her home. She is reunited with her loving husband Guadalupe Felix Cardenas and her son Gerardo F. Cardenas who preceded her in death. Her passing leaves family and friends with the pain of loss; however, there is peace in knowing that her time on earth has left memories of joy and happiness for all who knew and loved her.
On Feb.8 th 2020, Elena was honored with a surprise 90th birthday celebration. She could not believe her eyes when she saw all the friends and family, many of whom she had not seen in years. We appreciate all who participated and gave her this overwhelming joy by sharing their love, time and travel to attend.
Elena was a member of Little Flower Parish all her life. She was one of three of the school's first High school graduating class. Her stewardship within the Little Flower Basilica's parish reflect decades of volunteerism and membership with the faith group; "Confradia Del Escapulario". Her presence will be missed.
Also, preceded in death were parents Pablo & Cruz Martinez; brother, Servando Martinez, and sister, Concepcion Presas. She is survived by her sister Graciela Martinez; her children, Maria Bosquez, Pablo D. Cardenas (Nancy) and Helen Saldana; as well as grandchildren, Alex Bosquez, James Bosquez, Victoria Bosquez, Briana Cardenas (Joe), David Paul Cardenas (Lucero) Crystal Saldana (JD), Ruby Gregory (Kyle), and three great grand-children and many nieces and nephews.
Thank you, Edna Jimenez, your compassionate involvement when it was most needed has been a blessing to the family.
Due to current pandemic restrictions; funeral services for immediate family will be subject to attendance limitations beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you will continue to send prayers for the family and our beloved matriarch. She lives in our hearts forever.
