Elda (Montes) Lunstrum, the eldest daughter of Robert and Elida Montes (who preceded her in death) passed away on July 7, 2026. Elda was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 14, 1954.

Elda attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic School through the 8th grade and then attended Highlands High School. She graduated from Highlands High School in 1972.

Elda was artistically talented and very creative. She drew beautifully and loved making jewelry for herself, her family and friends. She lived in California for a few years and spent many years living in Phoenix, AZ.

Elda leaves behind her loving husband, Terry Lunstrum; her son, Robert Jerdee; her daughter, Marisa Navejar (husband Paul); her "babies" (her grandchildren): Paul II, Penelope and Paloma Navejar; her sisters, Roberta Goudy, Edna Gomez (husband Ben), Sylvia Montes; 6 heartbroken nieces and nephews; a step great grandson; many cousins and very dear friends.

Her "babies" will miss their "Neema" immensely. There is nothing like the special love between a grandmother and her grandchildren.

Elda was the "caregiver" of the family. If anyone had an ailment, she was the first to step in and offer her help and care. Her husband, sisters, daughter, nieces, friends, step-granddaughter, and cousin were honored to return her generosity in caring for her in her final months.
