Edward L. Witherspoon went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Pete and Genevive Witherspoon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lucy; and brothers, Nick, Horace, Robert and William Witherspoon.

Surviving relatives include his loving wife of over 60 years, Paula R. Witherspoon; his brother, Pete Witherspoon (Tina), his sister in law, Sylvia Pryor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Witherspoon will begin on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Angelus Funeral Home at 5:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 P.M.  Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 beginning at 10:00 A.M at the Angelus Chapel. Interment immediately to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
