Mr. Edgar Frank Aelvoet age 77 of San Antonio passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Edgar was active in the family's farming business before retiring from Tinker Air Force Base after 18 years in Civil Service.

In his younger years, Edgar was a softball catcher and city homerun champ. He was an avid sports fan who followed the Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. He also liked fishing in Rockport and loved to dance.

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents: Remi and Maria (Verhelst) Aelvoet; half-brother Marshall Aelvoet; and half-sister Erma Persyn. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Tschirhart and her husband, Ferd; half-sister Elsie Verelst; half-brother Richard Aelvoet (Vivian); nieces and nephews: Brian Tschirhart (Jill), Melissa Gannaway (Aaron) and Jennifer Graves; great nieces and nephews: Garrett, Hailey, Holly, Lacey, Carson, Christian and Trinity; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin Sunday, June 10th at 4:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be offered Monday, June 11th at 10:00 A.M. at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3.
