Obituary

Our beautiful loving mother and grandmother, Dora G. Gonzalez, 83, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on January 12, 2015. Dora was born June 1, 1931 in Pecos, Texas to Jose and Anita Granado. A graduate of Pecos High School, she married her loving husband Jose Baltazar Gonzalez on September 10, 1960 in Pecos, Texas and moved to San Antonio where she resided until her death. Dora enjoyed a career working in tax preparation and accounting for many years. She is remembered for her warm hearted nature, genuine interest in helping others and an unwavering compassion for those in need. In her free time she enjoyed volunteering with school children and helping with local politics. Her interests included reading, cooking, sewing, gardening, poetry, politics and world news. However, the role she will most be remembered for is the role of mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and their love for her will never diminish. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 46 years, Jose, as well as her siblings: Ramon, Ediberto, Ofelia, Evodio, Eduardo, Lupita, Alphonso and Josephina. Dora is survived by her four children, their spouses and her seven grandchildren: Alex and Victoria C.
