Dolores Ruiz of San Antonio, Texas, age 77, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her immediate family on Wednesday, April 30th, 2014. Dolores was born in Selma, Texas to Francisco and Inez Rodriguez on September 6th, 1936. Dolores was a long time employee for over 40 years of Scrivener's. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Alonzo and brother, Jesse Rodriguez. Dolores was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife to her beloved Johnny; her daughters: Yolanda Gomez of San Antonio, Texas and MaryAnn Wolberg of Denver, Colorado; her son, Rene Gomez of San Antonio, Texas; brothers: Arturo and Ernesto Rodriguez and sister, Adelina Thicksten; she greatly loved her two grandchildren: Adelena Wolberg and Lourdes Gomez; numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Friday, May 2, at 9:45 A.M. with a Rosary and Funeral Mass to be offered at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will be held on Monday, May 5th, at 10:15 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
