David Joseph Verdecanna, 60, passed away on Sunday June 21, 2026.

Dave was born on January 17, 1966, in Haileah, Florida. He lived a full and hard-working life taking on many jobs over the years and collecting plenty of stories along the way. He lived life marked by faith, resilience, and laughter.

He preferred light over darkness in every sense of the word. Dave wasn't one to dwell in sadness, he chose humor, connection, and living in the moment whenever he could. Dave never missed the opportunity and spoke about Jesus to all that knew him.

He enjoyed the beach and yard work, but most of all looking forward to Sundays because that meant going to church. In true Dave fashion, he would not want heavy hearts for long, so share a laugh, keep the light on, and hold on to your loved ones close.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Laura Verdecanna; his daughters, Cassie (KC), and Natalie; his sons Joey, Dwight and Jacob; his grandchildren Hazel, Wayne, Jayden, Julie, Ivy, Grayson, and Jane; and his daughters-in-law Nicole and Hayley. He also leaves behind many friends and loved ones who will miss his laugh, his spirit, and the way he brought a little brightness wherever he went. Until we meet again.
