David M. Rodriguez, Jr. age 88 of San Antonio passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Mr. Rodriguez was an Elementary School Teacher for 38 years. He was also a union representative for the American Federation of Teachers, where he was Director in the Rio Grande Valley area.  David was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a VIA board member, and also very active in local politics.

He is survived by his wife, Elicelda P. Rodriguez; daughters, Valerie Moreno and husband Tony, Cassandra Salinas and husband Frank, Melissa Garza and husband Noe Garza, III; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Quiroz, Frances Rodriguez; brother, Eduardo Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin on Monday, April 27th at 5:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, April 28th at 10:30am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery # 2.
