Dave Little, age 87 went to his eternal reward on September 24th after a two year battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. After 2 years of Dialysis, he decided to stop. He said he had a good life and was tired.
Preceding him in death were his parents Lucien and Josephine Little, his in-laws Tony and Blanche Bolner, all his siblings- John, Ben, Josephine, Regina and Dorothy; also by his brother-in-law, Bobby Bolner – his Cunado.
Surviving is his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Jane Little nee Bolner; sons: David (LeeAnn) Little, Duane Little, daughters: Sharon Little and Sandra (Mike) McNease; grandchildren: Kevin (Erica) McNease, Jennifer McNease, Sarah (fiancé Christian) McNease, Morgan (Royal) Brown, and Zachary Little; great-grandchild, Cayden McNease and a baby girl soon to be born.
Dave was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1949. He served 25 years in the Air Force retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. Following his years of service, he joined the family business of boot making that his grandfather began in 1915. He changed the focus of the business from one making work boots for cowboys to dress boots. His vision in doing this allowed the family business to not only continue, but grow. He was thrilled that his daughter, Sharon and son, Duane took over as owners and operators when he retired at the age of 85.
He loved and enjoyed life. His military career allowed him to travel. He leaves his family many memories of camping all over Europe. Growing up, all his children worked at the boot company where they learned a good work ethic.
Dave enjoyed many good times that included The Boot Company, travel, hunting, watching westerns and his favorite times were gathered at a table sharing a meal with family and friends. We all will miss Dave's laugh.
We would like to thank Marymont DaVita for their compassionate care and Christus Hospice for their support.
