Obituary

Consuelo left this world to be with her true love, Arnulfo, on May 27th, 2015. She is survived by her children, Octavio "Toby" Reyna (Margarita) and his 6 children, Dr. Juan Arnulfo "Johnny" Reyna (Joni) and his 2 daughters, Joyce Reyna and her two sons, Elaine Farias (Robert) and their 5 children and 5 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Consuelo was known to her family and close friends as "Chelo" and to others as "Connie". She was an amazing spirit whose life was exemplified by love, laughter and dance. Her compassionate, giving spirit, kind nature and wonderful sense of humor will be remembered by everyone who knew her. Chelo and Arnulfo encouraged their children and grandchildren to pursue higher education. As matriarch, she lived by example and easily passed the exam conferring her high school education equivalence though she had little formal education herself. Chelo worked at Kelly field for many years. She was also in the upper echelon of sales people for "Sarah Coventry". This natural salesmanship and her engaging personality continued into her senior years selling jewelry on her own (as many of you probably know). She also worked and retired from the City of San Antonio Public Health department. Co-workers who became dear friends continued to visit with her for years after she retired. Chelo was preceded in death by her husband, Arnulfo in 2010, following 66 years of marriage. If you knew them you knew that they were an amazing match and pure beauty on the dance floor. She continued to dance through her 80s. For all who knew her, she will be missed far more than any written words could possibly express. FUNERAL SERVICES The Reyna family invites you to share in the Rosary and celebration of her life at the Angelus Funeral Home on Sunday May 31st at 5pm.
