Concepcion V. Rivera, age 93, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2015. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, gardener and beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Sanchez Valdez and Maria Tuero Valdez; four brothers; seven sisters and her beloved husband, Rudolph Rivera. Connie is survived by her children: Rudolph Rivera Jr. (Gloria), Vivian Dates (Bruce) and Minnie Gutierrez (Edward); and her 7 grandchildren: Mark G. Rivera, Denise Godfrey, Gina Rumbo, Michele Cooper, Brian Arias, Paul Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez and 7 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of VITAS Hospice who helped care for her during the past few months of her life. Visitation will begin Sunday at 4:00 P.M. at The Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No.3.
