Until We Meet Again…

Charles "Jerry" Treviño

Charles Gerard "Jerry" Treviño, age 67, passed away in the comfort of his home on Saturday, September 20th. Jerry was born in San Antonio, Texas, at 6:25 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 1958, to Margaret and Rosendo Treviño.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Jo Ann Treviño; his son, Charlie Treviño, and his spouse, Elaina; his daughter, Celina Cruz, and her husband, Giovanni; and his daughter, Annalisa Treviño, and her partner, Mitchell. Siblings Rosendo Treviño and his spouse Norma, Michael Treviño and his spouse Ileana, his older sisters Linda Treviño, and Joan Lawhon. In addition, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For more than 40 years, Jerry worked as a Pressman for different companies around San Antonio, sharing his smile with the world and making lifelong friends at every stop along the way. During his time working in printing, Jerry had the opportunity to indulge in his appreciation and love for art by being able to work on countless high-profile campaigns for both local and global brands like, Fiesta San Antonio and Blue Bell, Jose Cuervo Tequila and Corona Beer.

Jerry was recognized among the printing industry as one of the most knowledgeable and talented professionals in the field. German-based Heidelberg Druckmaschinen frequently called on him throughout his career to troubleshoot equipment and consult on his expertise as it pertained to the future development of Heidelberg technology.

Jerry was proud to be a Pressman, and his love for the craft will continue to live on through the hands and work of all who had the pleasure to learn from, and work with him.

One of Jerry's greatest passions in life was learning — his curiosity knew no bounds. He especially loved the wonders of science, always eager to understand the world around him. From the mysterious creatures dwelling in the deepest parts of the ocean to ancient fossils buried in the Earth, Jerry wanted to discover it all. He chased meteors and followed the ever-changing skies. He captured perfectly-timed moments of lightning bolts touching down, and traveled cross-country just to experience the magic of totality during lunar eclipses. His sense of wonder was contagious, and his love for learning left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jerry had a deep love for the simple joys of life — fishing, camping, and spending peaceful days with Jo Ann in Fredericksburg. Of all the things he loved, nothing brought him greater pride or joy than being a father. It was a role he cherished with his whole heart. When his grandchildren came along, that joy only deepened — his love expanded effortlessly, and being their Grandpa became one of the greatest honors of his life.

Jerry never missed a birthday, never forgot to reach out on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and without fail, he made sure Jo Ann received the most beautiful flowers every Valentine's Day. It was in these thoughtful gestures — quiet but deeply meaningful — that his love and care truly shined.

He was everyone's Dad and Brother.

You didn't need to be related to Jerry for him to love you.
