It is with great sadness we announce that Charles (Chuck) A. Herrera very unexpectantly passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 70. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred L. and Helen F. Herrera. Survived by his sister, Patricia Jacobson and his longtime loyal canine companion, Bullet.

Chuck was born January 15, 1948 in Galveston, Texas, the first of two children. He was a true Texan and proud 8th generation descendent of Col. Jose Francisco Ruiz and Blas Herrera, both signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence. He was also very proud and passionate about the bonds of eternal brotherhood and work he did as the Vice President of the Phi Kappa Theta Alamo Association.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 19, in the Angelus Chapel at 5:00 p.m. with services to begin at 6:30 p.m. and to conclude in the chapel Wednesday evening. A second and final celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
