Celia DeAnda Garcia passed away peacefully in her sleep September 10, 2017. She was born in Eden, Texas on January 8, 1928, and was the daughter of Fecundo and Amalia DeAnda, from Menard, Texas.

A beloved devoted caring Mother, she was very active in the Kinder Homes community with many friends and a member of the Auxiliary at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

She loved quilting and belonged to a Quilting Club which she hosted for many years and helped create over 200 quilts.

Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Reynaldo Garcia; and her two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Patricia. She is survived by her sons, Albert Garcia and wife Melinda, Eddie Gonzales and wife Linda; grandchildren, Amy Janoch, Michaela and Albert Rey Garcia; great granddaughter, Ryann Janoch; brothers, Rudy and Alvin DeAnda of Menard, TX; and sister, Olivia Leal from San Antonio, TX.

Visitation will begin on Monday, September 18, at 6:15 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr. Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, September 19, at 9:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
