Celeste Persyn De Winne joined the Lord in heaven on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the age of 88.  Celeste was born and raised in San Antonio by parents of Belgian heritage.  She lived in San Antonio her entire life.  She was a strong woman who lived through many challenges but was always willing to give of her time to anyone in need.  Celeste will truly be missed by all those blessed by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Leona Persyn, her husbands, her brother Richard, and nephews, Brian and Anthony Persyn.  Celeste is survived by her children: Ernie (Jennifer) De Winne, Wayne (Donna) De Winne, Shirley (Jerry) Sarro, Diane (George) White, Rebecca (Mark) Savage, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
