Mr. Carlos P. Hernandez, age 81, of San Antonio, died on August 13, 2015. He served in the U.S. Army and worked faithfully for 28 years for Fabian's Construction as a painter. Carlos loved being outside on his swing listening to his music on KEDA radio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Alicia Hernandez; parents, Cipriano and Ramona (Palafos) Hernandez; grandson, Jesse Anthony Hernandez; and great grandson, Julian Andrade. Carlos is survived by his children, Estella Hernandez, Irene (Jesse) Mann, Sylvia (Guadalupe) Garcia, Carlos Hernandez Jr., Yolanda Hernandez, Mary Garcia, Margie (Benito) Medina, Michael Hernandez, and Letty (Felipe) Olivarri of Pleasanton; grandchildren he raised, Andrea Andrade, Crystal Marie (Samuel) Olveda, and Jose A. (Valarie) Andrade; brothers, Juan (Angie) Hernandez and Tomas (Amelia) Hernandez; 34 grandchildren; and 56 great grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICES Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 18, at 4:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, August 19, at 12:45 PM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
