Obituary

Carlos X Camacho Jr. passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022 at his home in
San Antonio, TX at the age of 77 years.

Carlos {Nunny) was born on January 29, 1945 in San Antonio, TX to his parents,
Carlos X. Camacho Sr. and Anita S. Camacho. Carlos attended Central Catholic
High School and graduated in 1962.

He started his working career at Kelly AFB where he was a mechanic/machinist.
After Kelly AFB, he went to work for a San Antonio produce company selling and
delivering produce to local restaurants. From there, Nunny landed a job with
Sam's Club where he worked his way up to manager of the food sampling stations
at the San Antonio south side location, until he retired.

In 2011, life changed for Nunny. His father, Carlos X. Camacho, Sr. had a minor
heart attack and Nunny dedicated his life to become his dad's caretaker. He
made the decision to move in with Dad so he could care for him around the clock
until Carlos, Sr. passed away in March 2021. During those eleven years, there
were ten trips to Cancun, Mexico for a week of vacation. Normally there would
be a between ten to fifteen family and friends traveling with them for this
weeklong trip. Nunny loved Mexico. His final trip was to Mazatlan, Mexico in
February 2022.

For anyone who knew Nunny, there are no better words to describe him other
than having a servant's heart. If you ever attended the Camacho Easter weekend
at the Pipe Creek Ranch, you would have witnessed, firsthand, his gift. Everyone
migrated to Nunny's campsite for his Good Friday, homemade cheese enchiladas
con papas dinner. On Saturday mornings, he was the first one up making coffee
for all campers {normally forty to fifty people) followed by the best breakfast
tacos at the ranch. He also had the gift of being a self-made, gourmet chef. His
father, Carlos X Camacho Sr, often said he felt he was living at one of the Mexico
all-inclusive resorts because of the breakfast, lunch and dinner Nunny would
prepare for him.

Nunny loved to watch all sports on TV, but his favorite teams were the Dallas
Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns.

Carlos (Nunny) is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria; son, Chuck (Kimberly)
Camacho, daughter Debbie (Mark) Montgomery; grandchildren Kyle Camacho, Kendall
Camacho, Kelsey Montgomery, and Cody Montgomery; brothers David (Lisa),
Edward (June); sister-in-law Gloria; stepsons Alex (Angelica) and Domingo
(Monica) Portillo along with 7 step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos X. Sr. and Anita S. Camacho and his
brother, Alex.

Please feel free to leave a farewell message for Carlos and the Camacho family on The Angelus Funeral Home Website
