Bobby Rodriguez Garcia, age 68, was a loving husband, caring father, and a devoted grandfather. Bobby passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 4, 2022 in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on September 8, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Salvador Villarreal Garcia, Jr. and Mary Rodriguez Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Villarreal Garcia, Jr and Mary Rodriguez Garcia, his paternal grandparents, Salvador Garcia and Guadalupe Villarreal and maternal grandparents, Tomas Rodriguez and Sara Alcala.

Bobby met Maria Minerva Ramirez in the summer of 1970 at the historical downtown Woolworth lunch counter and it was love at first sight.  The high school sweethearts were married for 37 years and had two beautiful children.  Bobby was the proud father of their two children: daughter, Jennifer Ann Teniente and son, Robert Michael Garcia. He is survived by Maria Minerva Ramirez Garcia; daughter, Jennifer Ann Teniente, son-in-law, Gerard Teniente; son, Robert Michael Garcia (Lindsay Ysquierdo); granddaughters, Julia Miranda and Ava LeeAnn Teniente; brother, Pete Garcia and sister, Yolanda Garcia Vasquez; brother-in-law, Juan Vasquez; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Bobby. He was adventurous and loved the outdoors. He had a lifelong passion for fishing and taught most of his family how to fish, including his children, granddaughters, and sisters-in-law. He was well known for his many planned as well as spur of the moment family gatherings, where family enjoyed backyard grilling and listening to oldies but goodies music. He loved planning vacations for his family, which often included his children, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a wonderful and devoted family man who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life Luncheon for Bobby will follow at the
