Blanch Herrera Martinez passed away on July 18, 2020, at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 3, 1926 in Floresville, Texas to parents, Juan Herrera and Carmen Luna. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ralph Martinez, Jr., her sisters, Cecilia Valdez and Concepción Casares, and her brothers, Jose and Ramiro Herrera.

Blanch was an experienced seamstress who enjoyed sewing for her children and as a career. She worked in a variety of places, spending several years at Lackland Airforce Base working on military uniform alterations, as well as La Feria, specifically working on detailing wedding gowns. She loved working in her yard caring for her flowers.

Blanch is survived by her brother, Santos Herrera, her sister in law, Gloria Ehrlich and her four children, Linda Martínez (Delfino Muñoz), Mary Louise Apolinar (Edward), Ralph Anthony Martínez, Mary Ann Martínez, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

We would like to give a special thanks to Bridgette Maldonado for her love and care of our mom. A very special thank you to Jeannie Apolinar for her love and devotion to our mother for the last six years.

Regretfully, the funeral services are being held privately due to the current health and safety concerns.  We appreciate your condolences.
