Bertha A. Montez, born in Del Rio, Texas on July 13, 1929, peacefully entered into Heaven to meet our Heavenly Father on Monday, May 26, 2014 in San Antonio at the age of 84. She is survived by her children: Armando Gomez (Eileen), Sylvia Anderson (Roger), Ruth Saenz (Paul), and David Gomez (Lorrie); step-children: Dahly Montez (Mario), Noe W. Montez Sr. (Irene), Paul Montez (Laura); brothers: Noe Aguirre (Ruth) and Manuel Aguirre Jr. (Areli); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Harvest Fellowship Community Church, 16111 San Pedro, Ste. 109, San Antonio, Texas 78216. The family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva, formerly Odyssey Hospice, for caring for Bertha through her end of life's journey.
