On August 28, 2018, Bertha S. Jimenez was called to heaven to be with our Lord. She had recently celebrated her 93rd birthday.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 26, 1925 to Carmen Howe and Claude Smith.

Bertha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.  She traveled the world with her husband Joe and always brought small mementos from their travels to her family.

Bertha was a strong woman, having battled cancer in the 90's, lived life to its fullest; cancer free.  She loved to spend time with her family, loved to go shopping and feed and watch the birds outside her patio and tend to her plants.  She was a beautiful lady who was very fashionable, loved getting her hair and nails done and kept up with current events.  She had a great sense of humor and loved to cook for her family, especially her fresh homemade beans.

Bertha passed away peacefully at home of natural causes.

Bertha was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe A. Jimenez.  She is survived by her sons Robert, Michael, John (wife Gina).  Grandchildren Vanessa (husband Cale), Michelle (husband Josh), Michael Joe, Christopher and Marina; her 4 great-grandchildren.  Brother Matt Muniz and numerous nieces and nephews.
