On the morning of January 17, 2026, our beloved Beatrice A. Jimenez gained her wings. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends.
Beatrice, the daughter of Fabian Apolinar and Cruz Robles, was born in San Antonio, TX. She attended Jefferson High School. After raising her family, Beatrice attended St. Philip's College, where she earned her CNA certification and later began an eighteen-year-long career at Chandler Memorial Nursing Home. Because of her great work ethic and devoted care of the Chandler Memorial residents, she was recognized as Employee of the Year.
With her husband, Ignacio R. Jimenez, Beatrice raised eleven children. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Additionally, Beatrice served as a member of the Navajo Civic Center, where she volunteered her time preparing and delivering meals for neighborhood senior citizens. With this, she served two consecutive year terms as Queen of the Navajo Civic Center.
Full of life, Beatrice enjoyed dancing to Tejano and Conjunto music at Mission County Park, as well as cooking delicious meals for her family. For exercise, she was an avid walker, which led to her participation in the Run for Life 5k at the age of seventy-three. She loved traveling to places such as Hawaii, California, and Michigan with her family. With this, Betrice had a special passion for vacationing in Mexico with her compadres, Ramona and Jose Luis Rodriguez. On occasions, she was an honorary member of the Baseline Bums for the San Antonio Spurs, her favorite basketball team.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her mother, father, and husband, as well as by Sylvia Mason (daughter), Rosa Apolinar (sister), and two brothers, Manuel Rito Apolinar and Ramon Robles Apolinar. She is survived by her two sisters, Maria del Socorro "Cora" Apolinar and Isabel Apolinar; one brothers, Rodolfo Apolinar; three daughters, Beatrice Espinoza, Mary Louise Tenbrock, and Alma Rose Lenhart; seven sons, Louis Jimenez, Gilbert Jimenez, Richard Jimenez, Fabian Jimenez, Nicolas Jimenez, Jimmy Jimenez, and Charles Jimenez; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other beloved extend family members.
Beatrice will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her faith in God, and her love of her family. Above all, she will be remembered for her love of life.
The family would like to give special thanks to Donna Montoya, Antonio Macias, and Anna-Lourdes Gonzalez of Mariachi de la Morenita from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for their spiritual serenata. We would also like to give thanks to Trinity Hospice for their excellent service and care of our beloved mother. Lastly, we would like to give thanks to Deacon Marquez, Deacon Antonio, Father Kevin for their bedside prayers.
