Bartolo H. Cervantes, Jr. (Bart) went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2025, at the age of 58. He was the third eldest child of Bartolo H. Cervantes, Sr. and Pauline H. Cervantes.
Bartolo was known as Bart to his friends and Junie to his family. He was very athletic and loved working out, going out for runs, and staying physically fit. He played soccer and football for Highlands High School and also played on a softball team with his father, brothers, cousins, and friends. Bart enjoyed and loved the outdoors. He especially loved going fishing with his cousins and his family. He worked for the City of San Antonio. Bart was a strong-willed person and was a very overprotective brother. He loved to playfully pick on his siblings and make them laugh. He enjoyed listening to music. One of his favorite music artists was Ramon Ayala.
Bart loved working on cars, a skill he learned from his father. After graduating from high school, Bart attended Texas A&M's extended program for electronics. Before the age of 23, Bart put those two skills together and rebuilt two cars for himself – a lowrider and a hot rod. He was very intelligent and knowledgeable in many things. People fell in love with him and took to him the instant they met him.
Junie was so loved by his mother, Pauline, and father, Bartolo, Sr. He and his mother enjoyed playing dominoes on the weekends. Junie and his father enjoyed watching Western movies. They were inseparable. He was blessed to have such caring, loving, and selfless parents. Junie was loved by his sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. We will all miss him dearly.
Bartolo, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Bartolo H. Cervantes, Sr.; his mother, Pauline H. Cervantes; and his brother, Raymond H. Cervantes, Sr.
He is survived by his siblings: sister, Gracie C. Vasquez (Carlos); brother, Marcelo Cervantes, Sr. (Yvette); brother, Louis Cervantes, Sr. (Carol); sister, Yolanda C. Flores (Frank); nieces and nephews: Louis Cervantes, Jr., Jacob Cervantes, Selena Cervantes, Armad Sandoval, Steven Cervantes (Emily), Marcelo Cervantes, Jr., Raymond Cervantes, Jr., Gracie Lynn Cervantes, Ariel Cervantes, Joseph Cervantes, Joshua Flores, Caylee Vasquez, Hannah Flores, and step-nephew, Charles Ramirez; great-nephews: Xavier and Isaiah.
