Barbara J. Nehr passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 91.  Barbara was a graduate of Brackenridge High School, Class of 1950.  She began a career in banking at NBC Bank and retired from Missouri Pacific Credit Union (MOP) to care for her husband, Joseph. She then went on to work part-time for Texas United Federal Credit Union and Select Federal Credit Union.  Barbara was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America and will be deeply missed by us all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nehr; parents: Bernard and Agnes Koehler and a sister, Angelina (Angie) Friesenhahn. Barbara is survived by her children: Cathy Nehr, Gary Nehr and Karen Nehr; grandson, Stephen Nehr and his wife, Melissa.

The family would like to thank Amedisys hospice team Jurema, Kayla, Lauren, Crystal, Tori, Brenda, Bill and Jen. Thank you all for taking such good care of our mom. We would also like to thank Dr Gregory Jackson and staff for all their assistance.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 6:00pm in The Angelus Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd.  Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.3
