Barbara Elizabeth Kiolbassa was born October 4, 1942 in Fredericksburg, Texas and died peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Gillen, her brother, James John Gillen Jr.

Barbara was raised in San Antonio and attended St Mary Magdalen's Catholic School, and graduated from Thomas A Edison High School.

In her spare time she enjoyed reading, going to the beach, spending time with friends, and attending family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, John Kiolbassa; her daughter, Holly Stricker; her stepson, Chris Kiolbassa and wife Lori; stepdaughter, Amy Lee Kiolbassa; her sister, Jo Ann Scrivano; grandson, Tyler Stricker; niece, Dawn Ivone and husband Chris; nephew, Johnathan Gillen; great nephew, Christopher Charles Ivone Jr.
