Aurora Rando's Obituary
Aurora G. Rando went home to the Lord on May 19, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonardo M. Rando; her grandson, Jason Van Blaricom; her parents, Aurora and Pedro Gutierrez; and her four sisters, Manuela Pompa, Lilia Lopez, Esther Silva, and Hortencia Chapa. Aurora was a loving, kind and caring person who always had a smile for you. She was a most gracious lady with time to listen and kind words to share. She loved to garden and was a talented artist. She was incredibly devoted to her husband and family. Aurora always greeted her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with a smile and open arms. Her family will forever feel her love in their hearts.
Aurora is survived by her daughter, Hilda Doyle and her husband, Ray Doyle; her son, Leonard P. Rando and his wife, Sharon Rando; her son, John Richard Rando and his wife, Sandi Rando; her daughter, Christina Thrall and her husband, Jonathan Thrall. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 25, at 6:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, May 26, at 9:45 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
