In Loving Memory of Armando Garcia, Jr.

February 24, 1949 - August 7, 2026

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Armando Garcia, Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. "Mando" passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born on February 24, 1949, he lived a life marked by strength, courage, devotion, and an unwavering love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, honorably serving in Vietnam from 1969-1970. During his service, he was wounded in battle and received the Purple Heart medal, a testament to his courage and sacrifice for his country.

He was a devoted husband to Olga Garcia, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Together, they built a lifetime of joyous memories.

He was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He loved fishing, bowling, gambling, barbecuing, and, perhaps most of all, eating good food. He found joy in gathering with the people he loved, sharing a meal, telling stories, and making memories that his family will carry with them forever.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Armando Garcia, Sr. and Josefina Moncivalles, his precious children, Vincent Rene Garcia and Crystal Marie Garcia, his sister, Gloria Morales Garcia, and his brother, Ray Garcia.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Olga Garcia; his daughter, Anna Lisa Garcia; son-in-law, Joel Ziegler; and grandson, Levi Garcia, who brought great joy to his life. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Denise Tellez, Reynaldo Tellez Jr. and Lily Riojas and her partner Tony Hernandez; along with his grandchildren, Amber Riojas, Krystle Riojas, and Eric Alvarado.

A loving brother to all his siblings, he was always eager to lend them a helping hand. He is survived by his siblings: Maria Garcia Gonzales, Luis Garcia, Alicia Garcia Galan, David Garcia, Ruben Garcia, and Susan Moncivias, along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives he touched.

His family will forever remember him as a strong man, a proud Marine, a loving husband, brother, father, and a grandfather who was deeply loved. Though his time with us has come to an end, the memories he gave us, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared will remain with us always.

Semper Fi Dad.  You served your country with honor. You loved your family with all your heart. We will carry you with us forever. Rest in peace.
