Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather Antonio Molina, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 28, 2023.
Antonio was born to Antonio Molina, Sr., and Maria Maciel in San Antonio, Texas, and he was the oldest of six children. Shortly after graduating from Alamo Heights High School, Antonio enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1970 and switched to the United States Army in 1976. He proudly served and protected our country for 40 years, achieving the rank of Army Lieutenant Colonel and retired in 2010. While serving our country, Antonio earned his Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from The University of New York. In 1975, Antonio continued his passion for serving and joined the San Antonio Police Department, graduating from the San Antonio Police Academy in 1975. Antonio served the city of San Antonio for 35 years, retiring in 2010 as a Field Training Officer.
While Antonio has always walked with the Lord, after retirement, he dedicated much of his time to St. Helena's Church through Knights of Columbus, ACTS Core, Teen ACTS, CYO, and Shields of Christ. He spent many hours mentoring Teens and Young Adults Ministries and fellow service men and women about walking alongside the Lord.
Antonio is deeply missed by his loving wife of 25 years, Lupe, and their children, Arthur (Veronica), Giovannie (Russell), Antonio, and Celine. Antonio's greatest joys were his eight grandchildren and loved spoiling them, Arieana, Adree, Victoria, Arthur, Valencia, Vilannie, Liam, and Owen. He will be missed by his loving siblings, Margaret, Gilbert, and Fernando, numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Ray and Alice, and brother-in-law, Jesse.
