Antonio "Tony" Gonzales, Jr., was born in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from East Central High School. He earned three Associates Degrees from San Antonio College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Physics from St. Mary's University.

Tony served four years in the United States Air Force, as a Hydraulic Systems Specialist for F-100 fighter aircraft, maintaining and repairing all hydraulic systems. The remainder of his career he dedicated his talents and commitment to expertise as an engineer at Hispanic television stations Univision Channel 41 and Telemundo Channel 60.

Tony will be remembered for his wit and humor, his keen mind and love of learning, his heart full of love and understanding, his always placing others before himself, his attention to the details of life, his always keeping his promises, his search for spiritual truths, and his love of his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren.

Tony is survived by his beloved son Michael Anthony Gonzales, wife Adriana and grandson Marcel; his adored daughter Stephanie Lynn Van De Walle, husband Matthew, and granddaughters Tess and Gena.

FUNERAL SERVICES

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 12:30 p.m., at the Eckankar Center, 1603 W. Lullwood, 78201 (at the corner of Brad and Hildebrand). Interment will follow at 2:30 p. m. with military funeral honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
