Anthony "Rip" Michael Rippey passed away on Saturday, August 26th, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 57 years old.  He was born in San Antonio on November 9, 1965, to Melvin Rippey and Jo Ann Martino Rippey.

Anthony graduated from Judson High School in 1983.  He was employed in the Maintenance Department at Judson ISD for nearly 30 years.  He also stayed very busy with a landscaping business he started in the San Antonio area many years ago.  He was an avid gun collector and had a love for classic trucks and cars.  He spent many Sundays bowling at the Turner Club and enjoying time with friends at the Kirby VFW Post 2059.  "Rip" was known throughout the Kirby community as one always willing to help a fellow neighbor and over the years developed an enormous group of friends which were an extended family to him.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Rippey; maternal grandparents: Tony Sr. and Annie Martino; paternal grandmother, Margaret Rippey; uncle, Michael Martino and stepfather, Gene Schulz.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Martino Schulz; his brother, Gregory Rippey and wife Shelly; uncle, Anthony Martino and wife Cheryl; aunt, Madeline Martino; uncle, Rick Rippey and wife Rita; stepsisters: Debra Major and Kathy Gordon; nieces: Jordan Chandler, Carlie Davis and husband Taylor; nephew, Michael Gordon; great-nephew, Briggs Davis; close cousins: Michelle Corbitt and Elizabeth Trader along with many numerous other cousins.

Pallbearers will be: John Offers, Darrell Hildebrand, Pat Kotrola, Ian Hambrick, Bobby Reyna and Jason Gwen.  Honorary pallbearers are: Ronnie Bitterly, Jason Connally, Tom Walker, Joe Ramon, Joe Short and Mike Boyd.
