Anita G. Vasquez loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 16, 2022.  The daughter of Maria Molleda Garcia and Antonio Garcia, Anita was born on July 26, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas.

Her lifelong spiritual devotion to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church included her service to the Sodality of Children of Mary (Hijas de Maria), the Guadalupana Society and Christ the King Society (Cristo Rey).  She also became active at St. Leo's Catholic Church where she served in the Ladies of Charity, the Legion of Mary and was a CCD religious instructor.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Manuel Cruz Vasquez and her loving son-in-law, Brian L. Burns.  She is survived by her daughters: Maria Zapata, Teresa Vasquez-Romero (Mauricio), Carmen Burns and Ana Lucia Vasquez; her sister, Maria Hernandez; grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A devoted and loving wife and mother with a gregarious and joyful spirit, she will be truly missed.
