Angelita C. Sanchez passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 81.  Angelita entered the Missionary Servants of St. Anthony Convent after graduating from high school.  She then left the convent to pursue her higher education, earning a master's degree from the University of Michigan.  Legally blind, Angelita went on to become a counselor at the Texas Commission for the Blind, retiring after over 30 years of service.  She was also an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, serving in the Altar Society and the Legion of Mary.

Angelita was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Rosa Sanchez as well as her siblings and a special friend, Robert "Bob" Tindell.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews, goddaughter, Frances S. Velez, and her dog and faithful companion, Bear.
