Angelica (Angie) Charles Martinez, 83, returned to our Lord on August 19, 2015 at 12:11am, now reunited with her beloved husband Servando Martinez having shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Del Rio, Texas to Samuel and Eloisa Charles; she lived out her life here in San Antonio, Texas. Angie is lovingly remembered as a fabulous cook and avid gardener, she found much joy in her beautiful collections of Angels, Ceramic Dolls, and Clowns. She looked forward to visiting with family and friends, and expressed an abundant love of life. Angie's hobbies were many and included crocheting, ceramics, cake decorating, plaster works and wedding pillows. She is survived by her daughter, Edna and husband Mark Jimenez; sons, Adam Martinez, Sam and wife JoAnn Martinez. She was most proud of her two grandsons, Aaron Martinez and Paul Martinez, Jr. Also survived by sisters, Gloria (Ramon) Garcia, Mary (Jesse) Sanchez, Orfa (Eddie) Vargas; brothers, Oscar (Celia) Charles, Robert (Terry) Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Alfredo and Reginaldo Charles. Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 23, at 5:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 24, at 9:00 A.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
