Obituary

Andrew "Andy" Robles Jr., age 74, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with our Lord on February 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Andy was born on May 28, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, to Andres A. Robles and Aurora Robles. He was a proud native of San Antonio and carried his values of faith, service, and family throughout his life.

From 1971 to 1975, Andy proudly served in the United States Navy. He loved his country deeply and considered it an honor to serve. His time in the Navy was a source of great pride and shaped the strong, disciplined, and devoted man his family knew and admired.

Andy shared 43 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife Elsa. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. He was a proud and loving father to his sons Cesar Rodriguez Robles and John Andrew Robles. His greatest joy was being "Popo" to his beloved grandchildren, Elijah and Ethan Robles, who brought immense happiness and pride to his life.

Andy had a deep love for music and was an avid musician who especially enjoyed playing the trombone. Music brought him joy and was one of the many ways he expressed himself and connected with others.

He was also actively involved in his church community, faithfully serving as both a greeter and on the worship team in various churches throughout his adult life. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he lived it out through service, kindness, and quiet strength.

Andy is survived by his wife, Elsa T. Robles, sons Cesar Rodriguez Robles (Brandon Payne) and John Andrew Robles (Kristen Robles), grandsons Elijah Robles and Ethan Robles, brothers Edward Robles (Doris Robles), Richard Robles, David Robles (Bertha Robles), Larry Robles (Rubi Robles) and Leonard Robles, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres A. and Aurora Robles.

Andy will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of country, his servant's heart, and the steady presence he provided to those who knew him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of the Lord. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
