Obituary

Amparo Armenta de Pacini returned to her heavenly home on October 29, 2019 after 70 years spent blessing all around her with love and compassion.  Her devotion to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary supported her through her struggles and always gave her peace.

Amparo was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, the only daughter of Julio and Julieta Armenta.  In 1992, she married Ricardo Pacini, whom she loved unconditionally every day of her life.  In joining the Pacini family, she quickly became the light all of us went to when we needed a prayer or a word of comfort.  We always knew that each one of us was blessed for having her in our lives.

Amparo was a loving and devoted wife.  She was also a faithful member of the San Fernando Cathedral, St. Mary Catholic Church downtown and Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where she attended daily and Sunday mass over the years.  She was immersed in the Catholic community that became her family and support from an early age.  She never met a person she did not pray for and bless.  Amparo's life was all about love and giving.  Her life was a living example of Jesus' teachings.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Ricardo; her in-laws, Antonio and Elaine Pacini, Humberto and Aura Pacini, Roberto and Alicia Pacini, Juan and Carmen Maal, Hernan and Gina Lacouture, Giovanni and Patricia Pacini, Peter and Mirella Margolis; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends she loved and touched deeply. We would like to give a special thanks to Mirella and Peter Margolis for always being there for her.
