Former Texas resident Amanda Castro, 80, died December 16, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Castro was born May 1, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas to Herman and Eloisa Molina.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Francisco C Castro; parents Herman and Eloisa Molina, brother Herman Molina, brothers-in-law Edward Ortiz and Robert Whitsell from Houston, TX, granddaughter Marquita Flores and great-granddaughters Amaya and Brena Flores all from San Antonio, TX.

Her interests included antiquing, retail/yard sales and traveling with her sisters for the entertainment of the Slot Machine. She retired from Finesilver Mfg. Co. after 20 years of service.

Mrs. Castro is survived by her 3 daughters; JoAnn Castro from Austin, TX. Carol Castro, Arlene Flores and husband Gilbert. 4 sons; Frank and wife Sylvia, Rudy, Hector, Roger and wife Veronica; Sisters; Ninfa Rodriguez, Irene Whitsell from Houston, TX., Beatrice Espinoza husband Richard, Minerva Caballero husband Wayne and Gracie Ortiz; brother; Baltimore Molina wife Oralia from Austin, TX; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
