God's sweet daughter, Amalia Garcia was called back home to join our Lord on Friday February 2, 2018 at the age of 69.  Amalia was born in San Antonio Texas on September 9, 1948.   She was preceded in death by her father Crespin, mother Catarina, brother Oscar and sister Diana.

Amalia is survived by her husband of 46 years, Hector Garcia, son Christopher Garcia, his wife Angela Garcia, daughter Christiana G. Sanchez; grandsons Joseph Sanchez, Aiden Garcia, Evan Garcia and Elijah Tovar; twin sister Amelia Gutierrez, her husband John Gutierrez, sister Mary Tejeda, her husband Joe Tejeda, and brother Joe Gutierrez.

Amalia owned her own successful Beauty Salon where she had longtime clients that became very dear friends.  She also worked at St. John Berchmans, St Philip of Jesus and NEISD schools, where she loved being of service to the students.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling and most importantly being surrounded by family and taking care of her grandsons. At her passing she was blessed to have all her siblings, children and husband by her side. She will be greatly missed by her friends, nieces, nephews, brother, sisters, children, godchildren, grandchildren and husband.

MEMORIAL SERVICES

The family will receive family and friends,
Friday, February 9th at 6:00 pm

with a Memorial Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm in the Angelus Chapel.

Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday at 9:00 am

at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church.

Services will conclude at the church.
