Alice Montalvo, 96 years old, of Merrill, Michigan, passed away on December 8th, 2023. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham Montalvo and Juanita Estrada; sisters Catarina Ramos, Margarita Montalvo; brothers Abraham Montalvo, Guadalupe Montalvo, Alberto Montalvo, Valentine Montalvo, and Antonio Montalvo. Alice is survived by her brother Alfred Montalvo; and numerous nieces/nephews and grandnieces/grandnephews.

At the age of 12 years old, Alice left school to roll cigars to help support the family. Some years later, she worked at Santone Clothing Manufacturer. Santone was eventually bought out by the Levi Strauss Company where she worked for more than 50 years.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Alice. She loved sewing, gardening, and dancing. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities.

Alice enjoyed all of the many adventures she went on while traveling to Mexico, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina and Georgia.

She treasured spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, Alice was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her church, and community.
