Alfred M. (Vito) Alfaro, born August 25, 1925, embraced God on August 2, 2014, at the blessed age of 88. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Minerva Galan Alfaro. Alfred is survived by his children, David Alfaro, Alfred Alfaro Jr., and Diane A. Lindsey; their spouses, Cynthia Alfaro and Charles Lindsey; grandchildren, Jason, James, David Jr., and John D. Alfaro and Jordan Lindsey; great grandchildren, Logan, Ashlie, Connor, Julian, and Layla Alfaro; brother, Alex Alfaro; sister, Alice Chavez; and many other relatives and friends. He was dedicated to his family and his church and will be missed deeply. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 6, at 3:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, August 7, at 9:15 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
