Alejandro "Alex" Gutierrez, age 91, was born December 28, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas and passed to his eternal rest on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonia and Cipriano Gutierrez, and his six siblings, Margarito, Dolores "Lolo", Gilberto, Ramiro, Alfredo and Anita. He is survived by his nieces Francis Morales and Marina Perales, and his nephews Anthony, John, Daniel, Christopher and Alfredo Gutierrez, and their spouses and families. Until a few years prior to his death, Alex worked for over 75 years in the retail and wholesale produce business, mainly at the San Antonio Terminal Market. A time of visitation is planned for family and friends on Monday evening, September 14, 2015, from 5:00-7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2623 Perez St. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2, 746 Castroville Rd.
