Albert Barrientes age 60 of San Antonio died on Thursday, September 15, 2016.  He had a great love for animals that began with his beloved dogs and faithful companions, Spur, Petey, and Heidi.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Catarina Barrientes; parents, Santos M. Barrientes and Amelia (Medina) Gans; stepfather, Ike Gans; brothers, Frank and David Barrientes; and sister, Amelia Barrientes.  Albert is survived by his sisters, Estela Barrientes, Esther Hernandez, and Herlinda Caballero and husband, Jesse; brother, Carlos Barrientes; and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank Blanco Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation and Seasons Hospice for all their care and attention they provided.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, September 18, at 4:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 5:00 PM in the Angelus Chapel.  Visitation will resume on Monday, September 19, at 9:00 AM with the Funeral Mass to begin 10:00 AM at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church, Father Art Flores, O.M.I. and Father Richard Guerra, O.M.I. concelebrating.  Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
