On August 20, 2024, Adelina Nieto Greco Flores, age 94, was called by our Lord to take her place among the angels in heaven. She was born in San Antonio, TX November 21, 1929, and raised in Eagle Pass, TX where she graduated from high school in 1948. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jose T. Nieto and Estela J. Nieto, her first husband of 41 years, Jose L. Greco, and her second husband of 17 years, Maj. Gen. Belisario J. Flores. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Anna G. Maples (Glenn), her son Frank J. Greco (Anne), her seven grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other dear relatives and friends.

In 1952, Adelina was crowned Queen of the Lulacs and her escort was 2nd Lt. Belisario J. Flores who almost 50 years later would become her second husband. She loved sports, dancing, and traveling. She was proud to be an Aggie mom; both her children graduated from Texas A&M.

Adelina wanted to mention her love and appreciation for Dr. Darrell Willerson and his staff with whom she worked part-time for 18 years.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Services will be held Monday, September 9, 2024. Rosary recitation at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
