Adam Herrera Ortiz, age 48, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 surrounded by his family. He fought a brave battle with several health issues over the last few years. Adam was the fourth of five children born to Alfonso M. and Olga (Herrera) Ortiz on October 26, 1975. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1994. He continued his education with online courses through Ashford University for two years, and worked at various jobs throughout his life. Adam married Courtney Pinion on February 14, 2009, and they had two beautiful daughters.

Adam was proud of his Catholic faith, and was a kind, caring support to his friends. He loved gathering for family events, watching the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys, and listening to all types of music. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Courtney; his daughters Everly (age 8) and Ila (age 4); his parents, Alfonso M. and Olga Ortiz; 4 siblings: Alfonso (Joel), Cindy Heras (Jaime), Richard Ortiz (Mary), and Elizabeth Ortiz (Gabriel); 3 nephews: Anthony Heras (Gabriela), Richard Jacob Ortiz, and Avery Gonzalez; 2 nieces: Valerie Heras (Kayla), and Olivia Gonzalez; and 2 great nephews: Anthony Heras, Jr, and Aramis Heras.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at 5:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at The Angelus Funeral Home, 1119 North St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, TX 78215.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 16 at 9:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1114 Willow St, San Antonio, TX 78208. Burial will follow at Mission Park South Cemetery, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214.
